About Us
‘Trinizuela Modern Secretarial College’ was established in 1964 by the late, Sylvan Mohammed and will this year be celebrating 50 years as a successful institution offering training in the field of technical and vocational programs throughout Trinidad & Tobago.
With its Head Office at 74 Chacon Street, San Fernando, TTVC has been for the past eleven (11) years functioning under the leadership and guidance of Mrs. Linda Mohammed, Managing Director and Co- Directors, Shaw, Kirby, Don & Dale Mohammed.
Trinizuela was originally established as a ‘Secretarial College for Girls” having trained thousands of successful secretaries who now still hold prominent positions in industries today, locally, regionally and internationally. In 1993 its late Director recognized the need for skilled personnel in industries, and expanded the curriculum beyond the secretarial field to include technical & vocational training.
TTVC’s vision is to provide superior, progressive technical education which improves the lives of students, meets the workforce needs of the global community, and strengthens the society. With this in mind, Trinizuela has since developed a forward-looking approach to education and offers
courses that provide an excellent preparation for a variety of careers and professions. ‘TTVC’ is not just an institution, it is a world of personal development, real work experience and challenging possibilities. TTVC is now strategically located in four (4) key locations, namely,
San Fernando, Port of Spain, Chaguanas and Tobago.
All classrooms are fully air-conditioned and all six (6) computer labs are connected via a complete wireless local area network system. Workshop facilities are situated at the San Fernando location with all portfolios and assignments being submitted via a new
e-portfolio and e-assessment system.
City & Guilds is the awarding body for qualifications offered at Trinizuela Technical & Vocational College (Approved Centre No: 848062). Certificates, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas awarded by City & Guilds are internationally/globally recognized as evidence of skills and knowledge certificated to UK standards. City & Guilds IVQs (International Vocational Qualifications) offer a progressive structure of levels so they are suitable for beginners and experienced workers leading to a range of qualifications for people approaching the top of their professions.
Mrs. Linda Mohammed, Managing Director, was appointed an Honorary Member of the City & Guilds of London Institute by the Council of the institute in recognition of significant involvement in, and contribution to, the furtherance of the work of the Institute in technical and vocational education and training on 10th March, 2011.
